Introduction

QuickChat ("we," "our," or "us"), developed by Skew, is a Shopify app that enables merchants to add WhatsApp chat functionality to their stores. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

Information We Collect and Store

QuickChat is designed with privacy in mind and collects minimal information:

• WhatsApp Contact Number: When you provide your WhatsApp contact number, it is stored solely within Shopify's metafields system associated with your store. We do not store this number in our own databases.
• Basic Shopify OpenID Information: We receive basic installation data provided by Shopify when you install our app (such as shop URL and access tokens) to enable the app's functionality.

How We Use Information

• Enable the WhatsApp chat button functionality on your store
• Maintain and improve the app's performance
• Provide technical support when needed

Data Storage and Security

• Your WhatsApp contact number is stored exclusively in Shopify's secure metafields system
• We do not maintain any separate database of merchant contact information
• We rely on Shopify's robust security infrastructure for all data storage

Third-Party Services

Our app integrates with:

• Shopify: For app installation and storing your contact number in metafields
• WhatsApp: For providing the chat functionality (note that we only generate the chat link; we don't interact directly with WhatsApp's services)

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your stored information
• Update or delete your WhatsApp contact number through the app interface
• Uninstall the app at any time, which will remove access to your store's data

Data Retention

When you uninstall QuickChat:

• Your WhatsApp number stored in Shopify's metafields will be automatically removed
• All app-related data will be deleted from our systems

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our app's admin interface and updating the "Last Updated" date.
